About Mrs. Amaka Chiwuike-Uba (née Okoye)

Amaka Onyemaechi Chiwuike-Uba was a woman of rare compassion, quiet strength, and unwavering faith. Born in Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State, she was the second child of the late Ebele Edna and Charles C. Okoye (Mgbo) of Egbu, Umuenem, Otolo Nnewi. She had a remarkable journey of personal growth and service—one that continues to inspire the mission of the Amaka Chiwuike-Uba Foundation (ACUF).

Amaka worked in several organizations in Lagos and Enugu before launching her
own businesses. She was passionate about helping women become
economically independent and socially empowered.

Amaka lived out her Christian faith through action—showing love, humility, and

a loving mother of four. Her life reflected her belief in:

– Living with integrity and kindness

Amaka lived out her Christian faith through action—showing love, humility, and
compassion to everyone, regardless of their status. She was a devoted wife and
a loving mother of four. Her life reflected her belief in:

Ministry Through Compassion

Hospital visitations were a core part of her personal ministry. Every week, she
prayed with patients and their families—and often paid the bills of those who
could not afford care.

divine assignment.

A Light That Still Shines

Amaka passed into eternal glory on Monday, July 4, 2016. She left behind a
loving family, many mentees, and an enduring legacy.
In her honor, the Amaka Chiwuike-Uba Foundation (ACUF) was established—to
continue her passion for:
– Supporting asthma patients
– Advocating for public health
– Empowering women, youth, and the vulnerable
